1. These terms
- What these terms cover. These are the terms and conditions (the ‘Terms’) which govern your (‘you’, ‘your’) use of Aperidata’s accounting connection and aggregation services (the ‘Aperidata Services’, ) on your device and access to our products and services (Products) through the Aperidata Services and form part of the agreement between you and us (‘Aperidata’, ‘we’, ‘us‘).
- By using the Aperidata Services you agree to these Terms. You should read these Terms carefully along with our Privacy and Cookie Policy, and only use our service if you are over 18 and you agree to them.
- These Terms have no fixed or minimum duration. They will apply until either you or we end this agreement (see ‘Your right to cancel and end this agreement’ and ‘Our right to suspend, restrict or end this agreement’ below)
- Why you should read them. Please read these Terms carefully before you click to accept the same. These Terms tell you who we are, how you can access information and how we will provide Aperidata Services to you, how you and we may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem and other important information. If you think that there is a mistake in these terms these Terms or require any changes, please contact us to discuss at customerservice@aperidata.com.
2. Information about us and how to contact us
- Who we are. We are Aperidata Limited incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 10979997 whose registered office is at Regus House, Herons Way, Chester, CH4 9QR (Aperidata). Our registered VAT number is 359783635.
- Aperidata is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) (fca.org.uk) under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 for the provision of payment services under Aperidata’s Firm Reference Number (FRN) (FRN949181) and Consumer Credit (FRN949387).
- How to contact us. You can contact our customer service team at customerservice@aperidata.com or write to Aperidata ltd, Regus House, Herons Way, Chester Business Park, Chester, CH4 9QR.
- How we may contact you. If we have to contact you we will do so by writing to you at the email address or postal address you provided to us.
- “Writing” includes emails. When we use the words “writing” or “written” in these Terms, this includes emails.
3. How we may use your personal information
- We will only use your personal information as set out in our PRIVACY POLICY.
4. Our contract with you
- The Aperidata Services and Products are only available to consumers in the UK.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Protection of our business and intellectual property (IP).
a) The Aperidata Services, any software and platforms we have developed are our Aperidata IP and you mustn’t attempt to try to access, adapt, reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade, resell or harm any part of our Aperidata IP in any way, or try to collect data in the service or in transmission between our systems, or use the service unlawfully.
b) Also you agree not to try or attempt to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade or resell any products or services bearing any trade mark, trade name, logo or service mark owned by or licensed to Aperidata in a way that is likely or intended to cause confusion about the owner or authorised user of such marks, names or logos.
If any of these things happen under 5.1 (a) or (b) you may be responsible for any losses (including professional fees) we incur as a result.
6. What are the Aperidata Services
- Aperidata Services is an account information, scoring and aggregation service.
- Allows you to connect your savings and current accounts to our technology, so you can see your finances from these accounts. We connect to your 3rd party bank accounts through our open banking technology.
- We will share data from your bank accounts with the business with which you are applying for a product or service.
- We will share credit references based on your bank account data with the business with which you are applying for a product or service.
- Connecting your accounts.
- In order to use the Aperidata Services you will need to connect one or more bank accounts.
- We use our technology to access balance and transaction information on your bank accounts. In accordance with our Privacy Policy, we will ask for your explicit consent to access your account during the connection process.We will continue to access your account until your consent expires or is withdrawn. You may withdraw your consent at anytime emailing us at privacy@aperidata.com.
- We will not check the accuracy of any information we receive from your bank account providers. Nor will we be able to investigate or correct any information we receive from your bank account providers on your behalf. We are not responsible for any action you choose to take as a result of using the Aperidata Services.
- By using the Aperidata Services we are not providing:
- any financial advice; or
- credit advice
- Any decisions you make as a consequence of using the Aperidata Services or our Products are your responsibility and we disclaim all liability for such decisions in particular but not limited to the following examples:
- Your spending behaviour;
- Whether you decide take out a loan, mortgage, credit card or other credit activity;
- For any activity or decision you make for instance but not limited to whether you decide to apply for or make any investments or buy savings products.
- Aperidata Services is an account information, scoring and aggregation service.
7. What does Aperidata cost
- The Aperidata Services are free to use. There is no subscription charge or price that you are required to pay.
- As you would expect, these Terms only cover the Aperidata Services and Products provided by us. They don’t deal with taxes or costs that might be charged by third parties that you need to pay in order to receive our services – for example costs charged by your mobile phone provider.
8. Security
- The Aperidata Services may also use your device’s biometric capabilities (such as fingerprint or facial recognition) to give you access, if you choose to do this.
- All of your personalised security credentials shall not be accessible to other parties and are transmitted through safe and efficient channels.
9. Our rights to make changes
- Changes to the Aperidata Services and Products. We may change the service or Products made available through the Aperidata Services:
- to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements ; and
- to implement technical adjustments and improvements, for example to address a security threat.

12. If there is a problem with theAperidata Services or you wish to complain
- How to tell us about problems. If you have any questions or complaints about the Aperidata Services, please contact us. You can write to us at customerservice@aperidata.com
- Complain to Financial Ombudsman Service. You have the right at anytime to complain to to the Financial Ombudsman Service (www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk), with whom you can escalate your complaint if you are dissatisfied with how we have handled your matter.

13. Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you
- We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us. If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both we and you knew it might happen, for example, if you discussed it with us during the sales process.
- We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors; for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;.
- We are not liable for business losses. The Aperidata Services and any Products made available are for domestic and private use only. If you use the App or Products for any commercial, business or re-sale purpose we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
14. Other important terms
- Nobody else has any rights under this contract. This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms. Neither of us will need to get the agreement of any other person in order to end the contract or make any changes to these Terms.
- If a court finds part of this contract illegal, the rest will continue in force. Each of the paragraphs of these Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
- Even if we delay in enforcing this contract, we can still enforce it later. If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these Terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking this contract, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things and it will not prevent us taking steps against you at a later date.
- Which laws apply to this contract and where you may bring legal proceedings. These terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in the English courts. If you live in Scotland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.
